Better Than Working Charters

San Remo-based fishing charter taking small groups out to fish Western Port and Bass Strait.

Captain Greg's fishing charters out of Phillip Island, drawing on 30 years fishing Western Port and Bass Strait — 18 of them commercially. Western Port trips (5 or 8 hours) target snapper, whiting, flathead and gummy shark; Bass Strait offshore runs go after mako, thresher and school sharks and southern bluefin tuna, as full days of 8-plus hours with a maximum of six passengers. A five-hour scenic cruise around the island ($1,260 private) and two-hour memorial charters round out the list.

The boat is a flybridge sports cruiser with a large cabin, wind-protected deck and a proper bathroom. All fishing gear is supplied, your catch is cleaned, scaled and filleted, and there's endless tea, coffee, hot chocolate and snacks.

Normal trips carry six passengers (up to 8–12 for a single group in Western Port). No four-hour charters. Payment is cash or bank transfer.
