Surf shop, school and board factory on Thompson Avenue, shaping custom boards and selling shortboards, fish, mals, softboards and SUPs (boards $400–$1,670), with repairs done in-house.

Group surf lessons at Smiths Beach are $75 a person, or $205 for a three-lesson package, with a 1:8 coach ratio, Surfing Australia-accredited instructors, and all gear included — they claim 99% of students stand up in their first lesson. Change rooms, showers and storage are on site, with wetsuits from kids' size 2 to adult 3XL.

Hire runs $15/hour or $45/day for softboards, $25/hour or $70/day with a wetsuit; wetsuits alone $12.50/hour. Book lessons online via FareHarbor, or call the factory for custom board orders.
