Phillip Island Wildlife Park

Bushland wildlife park in Cowes where free-roaming kangaroos and wallabies can be hand-fed.

Sixty acres of free-range wildlife park on the main road into Cowes, where kangaroos and wallabies wander up to be hand-fed and patted — a bag of roo food comes with every ticket, extra bags $1. Over 100 Australian species live here, including koalas, wombats, emus, cassowaries, bats and owls.

Entry is $24 for adults, $13 for children 4–14 and $65 for a family of two adults and up to three kids. Free parking, a gift shop and ice creams round out the facilities.

Tickets are sold onsite only — the park warns against online booking scams. Last entry and ticket sales are at 4pm, it's closed Wednesdays, Thursdays and Christmas Day, and sturdy footwear is wise after rain.
